Expressive Painting in Montparnasse Frame

Expressionist oil painting depicting children, created with gestural brush strokes and bright colours, this naive style adds to the emotive nature of the painting, signed Cecil. Reminiscent of Scottish artist Joan Eardley. Housed in a good quality decorative Montparnasse frame by Maison Franco of Nice Rue Pastorelli.
There is an old sticker on verso "Maurice Robinot" who was a crater of fine arts including Vermeer’s girl with the pearl earring.
